Dandy Talks.....

Hey there, new friends and supporters!

You’re probably curious about how Dandelion at home started and who I am. So, let’s dive in... grab your favorite drink, and let’s get going...

I'm a proud mom of four amazing adult kids and have been married for 22 years. I work full-time and needed a little hobby to escape the 9 to 5 grind, besides my love for good coffee, NKOTB music, and reading tragic romance novels.

My journey into a conscious, low-tox lifestyle began years ago when I hit perimenopause. I was overwhelmed by headaches and chronic stress, as my doctor put it, and constantly felt sick and irritated. I’m so grateful for my husband and friends who supported me through this. After researching how to live a low-tox life, I started making simple changes like creating my own laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, and cutting out harmful stuff from our home while adding organic whole foods. The kids weren’t thrilled, probably thought I’d gone a bit woo-woo, but soon enough, my headaches became less frequent, and my sleep got better... who knew?

A few months back, I stumbled upon a soap recipe and thought, why not give it a shot? And that’s how Dandelion at home was born. I've been charging ahead ever since. People who know me know I’m either all in or not at all, as my mom would say, "bull at a gate."

I love knowing what I’m using in my home, from diffusing organic essential oils to soap on my skin, to lip balm and laundry detergents. Our bodies absorb it all. I’m no medical expert, and I won’t pretend to know everything, but I do know how much better I feel since switching to simple, organic products.

If I can help even one person make more mindful choices, I’ll be happy. Knowledge is power, and coffee is life... until next time...
